Come learn ukulele with us! Whether you’ve played before or have never picked one up, our group ukulele class gives students the opportunity to learn an instrument that they can take with them anytime, anywhere. Basic knowledge of the instrument is introduced while learning to tune, strum, and read tablature and chord charts. We will also learn about the cultural significance and history of the ukulele. Students will leave this class being able to pick out simple, familiar melodies and play a handful of basic chords that can be used to play hundreds of songs! On the final day of class, students will have the opportunity to share what they’ve learned with friends and family by performing a showcase of selected songs.
*Bring your own ukulele or we can provide one for you for an additional $30 materials fee. We will buy back ukuleles at the end of the session for $15 if you would like to return them.

In this enchanting new class taught by Ms. Stackhouse, students will explore the exciting magic of the winter realm ~ a place of shimmering ice caverns, glittering crystal forests, and playful snow spirits who watch over the land. Over the weeks we’ll build tiny ice caves, craft crystal trees, sculpt snow beings, and experiment with materials that shine, shift and surprise. New adventures will unfold as we create frosty worlds filled with imagination, wonder, and fun. Come join us for winter magic!

Students will be developing physical activity goals to focus on throughout the year.

Kids bring home dinner every week! Each week, students learn basic cooking skills while making dinner for their family! Students will create delicious dishes while focusing on the importance of local ingredients, scratch cooking, and natural preservatives while practicing knife skills and kitchen safety. Each entrée will serve 4 to 6 and will be packaged in oven-ready cookware with baking instructions. 12 students max.
