Meet the friends of the woods and craft whimsical autumn treasures from nature’s own materials! Celebrate the season with playful animal friends, colorful creations, and lots of fall fun. In this all-new class taught by long-time Daniel Bagley teacher Ms. Stackhouse, students will explore the magic of nature with hands-on projects such as pinecone critters, forest animal puppets, tiny pumpkins and other cozy fall treasures. Children will enjoy discovering their creativity while learning new skills and making joyful keepsakes of the season. All materials and a light snack provided. (*Materials fee is included in the class cost.) Class size is limited to 16.

Together we’ll craft enchanted projects such as pumpkin gnome houses, wise owls, and secret forest dwellers, with plenty of space for the children’s own imaginations to shape what emerges. We will be covering a series of health, fitness, and movement skill concepts. We will be working on all the skills associated with pickleball, floor hockey, and basketball. Also, we will be using pedometers and heart monitors during fitness infused games. If you enjoy physical education, then you will love this afterschool enrichment program. Kids bring home dinner every week! Each week, students learn basic cooking skills while making dinner for their family! Students will create delicious dishes while focusing on the importance of local ingredients, scratch cooking, and natural preservatives while practicing knife skills and kitchen safety. Each entrée will serve 4 to 6 and will be packaged in oven-ready cookware with baking instructions. 16 students max.
