What is the JOGATHON? Each fall, all the students of Daniel Bagley participate in a school-wide fundraiser, called JOGATHON. Before the JOGATHON, each child spends two weeks obtaining pledges from friends, family and familiar businesses. The day of the JOGATHON, students run a specially designed course and try to run as many laps as they can in the 50 minutes allotted. Children may run, skip or walk their laps. Water breaks, staff & family supervisors, first aid, and awesome music will be plentiful.
Why: The kids love the JOGATHON as their efforts have a direct effect on their school. Parents have a great time connecting with each other and their child’s class. The funds raised are dedicated to several different enrichment programs for our children. For example, class room tutors, Health & Fitness, Art, Music, and the Library to name a few.
When: Friday, October 2nd – Start time: 10:30am End time: 11:20am
Location: LOWER WOODLAND TRACK – 5775 West Green Lake Way N
Reminder: Your child MUST have a signed permission slip on file in order to participate.
Look for pledge sheets, permission slip forms and volunteer signup in KidMail soon after the start of school, or download and print the forms from these links:
The permission slips are due back to teachers by Tuesday, September 29th. All students are encouraged to participate whether or not they have collected pledges.
Family and friends are encouraged to come and cheer on the kids, volunteer and maybe even run a lap or two. If you are interested in volunteering, a volunteer form is enclosed in KidMail or can be downloaded from the link above. Just fill it out and send it back in.
